Little Doves Day Nursery has a wonderful idyllic setting, based in Essex’s village of the year, Peldon. We are a small traditional Nursery providing childcare for all the surrounding villages such as Abberton and Langenhoe, Rowhedge, Fingringhoe and Layer De La Haye. We also serve children from further afield such as Colchester and Mersea Island.

Children learn through us forging forces to have the best possible team around the child, giving children the best possible start in life. We have wonderful open spaces for our children to roam and explore and we provide a wide variety of resources based on the interests of your children,

 

Our children are encouraged to learn through exploration and investigation, looking at the awe and wonder of the world around them. We look at each individual child, what they know and what they need to know to be ready for the next stage of learning and development, while laying the foundations for life skills.

 

Readiness is key, each child’s cultural capital is individual. Each child learns through varying learning styles. We evaluate and develop these characteristics of effective learning, from a child learning through playing and exploring, to developing active learning skills such as concentration, being involved and also gaining and developing a child’s thinking skills, so that they can become critical thinkers and problem solvers.

 

Our staff are caring enthusiastic and have the correct knowledge and expertise for working with children under five. They know how to get the very best out of your children and are more than happy to share that knowledge with you.

 

Our children are happy and curious and enjoy their experience at Nursery. They form close relationships with key persons and leave our setting ‘reception ready’.
